What is your opinion of "open marriages" in which the couple take care of each other financially and emotionally but do not make marital fidelity a binding condition? (Each is free to have other lovers as long as the household itself is maintained.)

I dont believe in such marriages to last. They are just for time pass.
But everyone has their own opinions right

Personally I don't think I could ever do it. I'd get way too jealous and feel insecure. I just don't think an open marriage would work for anyone. surely you'd end up getting hurt all the time?

Personally I think it is a recipe for disaster, it would take a very confident person to enter into such a deal but then one day one partner is going to meet someonethey will want to be with and that person will want exclusive rights and that will be the end of the open relationship...

That type of marriage wouldn't be for me.....I would be angry all the time and it would last about five minutes after he took another lover...if he wasn't castrated.I think marriage is a full time committment in every area.....if you can't be committed .....then don't get married.
