i have suffered agoraphobia since i was in elementary. i begun suffering from panic attack when me and my family went to circus. after experiencing more panic attack in our school every time we had a school program i become agoraphobic. we went to see our family doctor and asked her some medication but she told me to look for some therapist. it help a bit because when i was in high school i began to have friends but i still didn't go out to a crowded place. if you have any phobia, how did you pull out of it and live a normal life ?

I have a problem of being in a crowded place as well. i am 32 now and i deal with it because i usually have someone with me. I have the problem that i feel as if everyone in the place is staring at me all the time and i can't concentrate on what im doing. But my fiance helps me deal with it though. He tries to keep it to where when we go places, like going out to dinner, we try and find a place where it isn't so crowded. So he helps me through it.

I have a fear of heights, during my holiday my friends invited me onto this balloon that was suspended by a cable rather than hot air, it was a tourist balloon that you went up in and saw the surrounding area, the ocean and quite far out, marvelous for photography and filming, but I wouldn't go, I couldn't face it, so I let them go on their own, I couldn't even stay on the ground and watch them go up. I don't like crowds either, and concerts for me are out and even busy high streets I get anxious. I also have a phobia about wasps, mainly because one sting from a wasp could be fatal and I have to carry a special injector pen around with me in case I get stung, another reason why I hate the Summer because these things are lethal and I run miles if I see one or can't rest until it's killed.

Hi there, is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia avoid public and/or unfamiliar places, especially large, open, spaces such as shopping malls or airports where there are few 'places to hide'. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to his or her home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."
