are you aware that smoking decreases your life expectancy, studied show that many disease are developed because of smoking such as TB, pneumonia, bronchitis and lung CA.... this are the most common, but base on many research 80% of CA cases are linked to smoking, and it is believed that every cigarette you take decreases your life span for 3 days...... so it means that if you take as much as 120 sticks of cigarette you already wasted a year of your life right now the average life expectancy is 65 years of age, less in poor economic country..... so what do you think about it? would you still smoke? or quit?

Yes that is true and the campaign against smoking has been going on for the last several decades but still many are still very much addicted to smoking their lungs out. It is a sad reality that this things are happening to us. But I think there will come a time when this bad habit will fade out in us.

I smoked for 10 years as a young adult. I have also quit for over 10 years. My health increased dramatically when I stopped smoking. I will never go back. Another thing I did which had the same inpact on me was ceasing to eat meat. I was constantly sick always catching something or having stomach upset. But, now it has greatly decreased by quitting meat. That is something also I will never go back to.

well, i do believe so and what saddens me more is second hand smokers are even known to die earlier. i don't smoke and never been bothered to try one even if i have had a very influential peer group. it just made me feel unhealthy being hooked with such habit i couldn't imagine how to get rid of just like most of my friends do. not to mention, i happen to have a childhood friend as young as 20 years who did not smoke in her entire life but now was diagnosed to have a terminal lung cancer. how pitiful isn't it that all the years you tried to ignore the vice and now comes all of a sudden you have a disease you didn't imagine yourself of having.
