I'm obsessed with a band called the "dresden dolls" and if you ask me why, I'd ramble on and on as to why I love their music. I'll spare everyone and just ask a few questions. have you ever heard of the dresden dolls? what is your favorite underapreciated band? why? what kind of music do they play? i'll give you quick answers to the questions i'm asking you (well the answers you don't already have) so, the dresden dolls play what they call punk cabaret. Imagine, if you will, the drums played in regular punk music accompanied by piano and great lyrics. that's them. and believe it or not, they're much better live than recorded.

I definitely have heard of the Dresden Dolls. I can't say I've ever heard their music, but then I'm not into much modern music at all. But I've heard of them. I thought they were pretty well known?

I think it depends on where you live... I hear that in some cities they are a really big thing, but here where I live most people have never heard of them... The last time they came to play here they played in a little tiny club (but I guess that's pretty much where they always play when they come here) where most people had a hard time seeing them. The club was by no means packed. but the show was great (well, the parts i could actually SEE were great) and they sounded awesome the entire time.

I am also in love with the Dresdon Dolls. They are so fantastic! I only recently got introduced and I have been listening to their music ever since. It is so different. Plus, they seem to write with an awesome bluntness. They tell it like it is and there is no sugar coating on it. Ah, I could listen to them all day long every day. Livy J
