so, time flies and now my daughter is 4 years old... she'll be 5 in December. We started her out in Preschool, with hopes that she wouldn't be behind in any subject at school... and we found that she has learned a lot from just the preschool. so, we looked into sending her to private school... long story short, she'll start private school this year which is costing us an arm and a leg... and some fingers n toes from the other hand and foot.... but I think it's a good investment into her future... If I could have gone to that school, I would have loved it. I'm just afraid that since most people that send their children there are so much better off financially than we are, we will be looked down on (and of course so will our daughter -which is the part that really bothers me) ... but, my real question is this: is it really worth it? will she really be that much better prepared for the world ?? or are we wasting our money?

I really don't think that it's a waste of money. I went to a public school and i was a good student but i always thought that if i was in private school i would of been a much better student due to the fact that in private schools your child gets a lot more one on one learning if it's needed and in public schools most teachers only care about their paycheck and won't focus on the one on one learning or even the class size is too large for them to be able to have the time to do so. I want to send my children to private school when they are school age but it also depends on how much it is and if we can afford it!

and see, that's our issue... we can *barely* afford it... and that puts us on the low end of... i dunno how to put it, but we are like the poor people in the school i guess, and I'm really not used to being around people with money. Its not that we can't act civilized or hold intelligent conversations with them, but theres still some gap that stands between most of them and us... eh, hopefully we bridge the gap and everyone will be happy... OH and it doesnt help that we're among the youngest parents there too.
