How far or how hard would you fight to keep the one you love?

It depends on what you mean by fighting to keep her. Yes, I really love my wife very much. But the thing is that I must realise is that she has a mind, will, and emotions all her own. So, if she told me one morning, "Angus, I think we need to talk. I am just not all that much in love with you anymore. My feelings have sorta begun to change. I think we need to break up. But I still want us to be very, very good friends"--it would hurt terribly. But I would want her to be happy, so I would give her the divorce. Bottom line--no one has the right to fight for anyone else. Nobody owns anyone. The days of slavery, at least in America, have been gone for a good 140 years or so. If you are not happy with me, I will cut you loose. There is a grieving process, but that would be between me and God. Now could I be "just friends" with her after the divorce? No, probably not. I would want to stay away from her--unless, of course, kids were involved. But I would do everything in my power to keep her. I will show her all the love, respect and affection that I can. I will try to be a help to her in anything she is doing. Whether it's cooking, cleaning, or whatever. I will continue to be me. But if that is not enough, then the relationship wasn't meant to last anyway. The up-side to that would be that it was a good thing we both saw that before kids became involved. But for the record we are doing very well after one year of marriage anyway. I wouldn't trade her for all the tea in China!

hi... nice question sharie... i would do anything,ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING to hold back my loved one... i can fight,quarrel, i am ready for anything to him back no matter wat.. untill he tells me that he likes someone else,i dont hold him back. other than that no other reason will stop me from fighting for him...
