A. Tomato is the most popular fruit in the world and is considered a fruit and not a vegetable. This is because ,a fruit is the edible part of the plant that contains the seeds while a vegetable is the edible stems ,leaves and roots of the plant.60 million tons are produced yearly.
b. The soft sand that we sink into on the beach is actually rock. Sand is what a rock becomes after years of being worn down by water .Years of sea waves crashing against huge rocks and cliffs makes rocks break into small particles. And eventually, they end up as sand. The colours of sand- yellow, red, and grey, black is dependent on the kind of rock it came from.

That is great teaser. But we still think that tomato is a vegetable. It is hard to correct it. We still treat tomatoes a s veggies. I just can't imagine eating tomatoe raw, and the treating it a a fruit. We used tomato as part of our dishes, sometimes as a dip but never as a fruit ( the type you eat after eating) but i really have high respects for tomato, we cannot leave without them.

My that definition of fruit and vegetable a lot of foods we classify as vegetable are really fruits. Squash, zucchini, cucumbers for example. All of these contain the seeds of the plant...

This is interesting information. I did know for a long time that a tomato is actually considered fruit. However I didn't really know why until I read your topic of discussion just now. Thank you for the insight also on the beginnings of sand. Never knew that either and it is nice to learn something new.
