I have been absent from mylot for health reasons for longer than I thought I will be, though I tried to log on to the internet, my doctor will have none of this, thus,I have been out for a while .After being discharged from the clinic, I went to a place called the “Elephant Sanctuary” to recuperate and I learnt some amazing things about elephants. Elephants eat up to half a ton of plant food everyday and they have 24 teeth for grinding it. Their teeth do not grow all at once but in fours. As the first set wears out, a second set grows .At the age of 45; an elephant grows its last set of teeth.Hm! my thinking therefore was no wonder the forests where elephants are in abundance soon becomes a desert because of this heavy consumption habit and I guess it wont be too much for you to a little calculation for me: How many kilograms do you think a tooth of an elephant weighs? This will give you a clue (123 + 37) – (72 + 845) =?
