i often read on buses as long as i can find a seat. since it's a long way from work, i have to take 50 minutes on bus one way, taking out my working materials or book for interest to read. do you share the same habit like me?

Yes, I do but in my case the mode of transportation was different. Here in the Philippines the main mode of transportation is a jeepney, and when I have a ton of exams I read my reviewers on the jeepney on the way to the university since it takes an hour to get there that way I can cram a little bi more before I get to school... lolz... :)

you are also the kind of person who treasures time. good for you. and what is a jeepney? is it just a jeep? or what ever?

jeepney - philippine jeepney...
It is kind of like a jeep but instead of having a few rows in the back for someone to seat on there's a long row on either side for people to seat on... here's a pic of it..

I love reading at home or outside somewhere pleasant. I can read on a train and feel quite well however I can't read on a bus because I end up feeling motion sick. When I am on a bus I look out of the window at the passing scenery. So if it gets dark my journey on a bus gets a bit boring. I can listen to my personal stereo though, a language program or music. I sometimes read whilst waiting for a bus or if the bus has stopped off for a break.

hi, good evening, maximax, i can tell you love reading by my instinct, :) i occasionally read while standing waiting for a bus. people around me may think i'm presumptuous, i don't care. i just want to read at that time.

The last time I was on a bus was probably 20 years ago. I was on my way to California (around 3000 miles (4,828.03 km) from here. I had many ways to divert myself, books, music, and other people to chat with. The trip took 3 days (whole days, we only stopped at the bus stations.).

No, i don't read when i am traveling in a bus because it puts a strain on your eyes. Its considered bad for your eyes to read in a moving vehicle!!!! It would be better to listen to music instead!!!!

Hi, when Im on a bus, I get really nauseous when I read. I even get a slight headache while reading or composing a text message on my cellphone. Is it only me, or does anybody suffers the same nauseous attack when reading on a bus?

back when i lived in california I used to take a bus about an hour one way twice a day, so I read all the time. I lived in a tough neighborhood, so sleeping was out of the question. listening to music only worked sometimes, because having a CD player would sometimes make people a target for theft, so books were great for me.

When I did take the bus, I would read an available book or magazine, it helps the time fly by while you're waiting to get to a destination.
