stop making that sound!!!

hey every one my PC is making like sounds like after every 5 minutes or so .. like you know the normal sound it makes but louder and it is really annoying i dont know what is wrong is there something wrong because its working perfectly fine like fast no viruses etc .. do you think there is something wrong with it ? im not sure if i should be worried about it or not

Hello, I am a computer tech and can probably assist youi with this. If it is a fan or sounds like a fan running loud there can be a few reasons for that.
Number 1) Your computer may need physically cleaned, including your processors heat sink (best done by a pro). The heat sink conducts heat from the processor and the cpu fan causes air to flow through the vents on the heat sink, keeping the heat sink cooled down. If these vents get clogged, and they do, the fan will start running louder to force more through because the temperature is telling it that it is getting too hot. If it gets too clogged it will eventually cause your pc to auto power off after just a short period of using it or may not fully boot with out power cycling. Also the other fans, including the case fans will run louder to cool the systems if your pc vents are clogged with dust.
Number 2) It could just be the ball bearings in the Fan or fans going bad, which if that is the case, I would replace them before they stop working. Fans are usually only around $15 to $20 dollars.
One last thing) If it sounds like a load hum, it could be the power supply starting to go bad, in which case, I would not wait to get that fixed. They usually run under $50.
If these suggestions are not the problem or don't solve the problem, try explaining the sound to me a little better and I will try to help with more suggestions.

hey thanks for the info ! yeah i'll get it done by a shop because i dont know how to do it!! .. yeah it is a loud humming sound.. it happens often now .. when the computer is on all day towards the night it starts making the sound so now i get off it when it makes that sound which is annoying because i use mylot more in the night!!

i think that you have problems with cooler ... if you doesnt cleaning it for more then 5 months or see then problem is with it ... they have eaten too much of the dust and occasionally it stop to working ... you will need to clean it and then it will work fine

It might just be the fan. It's annoying and scary because it sounds like your computer is about to explode and die, but it's really common and not that serious. As long as it's still making the noise, if you can stand it, you don't necessarily have to do anything. But if the noise eventually STOPS, that probably means the fan gave out and you'd have to look into getting a new one.
