Who likes it? Who doesn't? Do you dress up cottage cheese with anything? Do you use it to cook with, like in Italian food or perhaps another way? Would you be willing to share those recipes?
I like it. I really do. At first I didn't, but then one day I tried it again and now I do. My favorite way to have it is with vanilla Davinci's coffee syrup in it. Boy is that good and a great diet snack no matter what diet you are on. I don't use it in Italian food, but have had it in lasagna. Unfortunately that was when I didn't like it.

I love cottage cheese. I prefer it just the way it is but I don't mind it in some other things. My mom uses it in a dumpling recipe and it tastes really good like that. I've had it in lasagna before and thought it was okay but not anything special. I like eating cottage cheese in the afternoon with lunch or as a late afternoon snack.

i will eat it with fresh or canned fruit slices.or even with a fruit cocktail mix, thats always a good light lunch.
we also get a packet of the brown onion soup mix, and mix it with the cottage cheese, makes a very flavorful dip for chips..especially Frito's!

Hi, Tannie.
I like cottage cheese, too. There are several things I like to have with it. I like to scoop some of it on top of a pineapple ring...maybe even two! I also like to have cottage cheese with apple sauce or mandarin orange slices.
Here's a different way to have cottage cheese: Take some apple sauce, put it in a saucepan along with some brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon. Heat it up. Spoon some on top of the nice cold cottage cheese. Yummmmm!!

I don't like it never have likely never will. I will use it in lasagna if I don't have any choice and can't get ricotta cheese. My DD used to like it when she was little but now she doesn't like it either. Mom hates it. But my grandmother loved it she would eat it plain with black pepper and that is how my nephew still eats it!

I love it, but only the large curd kind, which is really hard to find any more. Sometimes it says "large curd" on the package, but then you open it and it is exactly like what we used to know as small. OK, I am fussy. If it is good cottage cheese it doesn't need anything to dress it up and if it is not, then nothing will redeem it, so I eat mine plain.
My favorite jello, though, is when I make the jello first and then when it is set, mix it with cottage cheese in the blender and refrigerate until it is firm again. That is what we do with the large curd tubs that turn out to be small.

Hi tanniebabe78.
I like cottage cheese. I sometimes put chopped vegetables or fruit in my cottage cheese. For example, I might chop a green onion, some red bell pepper, and a little bit of celery finely and mix all that in.
Or, I might just add diced tomato in my cottage cheese.
I really like strawberries or a peach or a pear in my cottage cheese.
If I'm having it au naturel, I'll just put a little bit of black pepper on it and have some saltines on the side.
The only entree I can think of that I've ever put cottage cheese in is lasagna.
Take care, tanniebabe78. That's great that you've discovered cottage cheesee.

I love cottage cheese and I eat it often. I have eaten it so many different ways. Here'
are some of them.
I like to eat it just plain right out of the container, sometimes. I also sometimes just
put a little bit of black pepper on it. I have also made crepes and put cottage cheese
mixed with some sugar, into my crepes and then put them in the oven for 20 minutes
on very low.
Another way I have eaten and like to eat cottage cheese is with frozen blueberries or
strawberries with a little bit of sweetner spinkled on top and put it in the microwave
for two or three minutes, just enough time for the fruit to defrost and get a little
bit mushy. I then take it out of the microwave and I mix it all together.
It is soooo good that way. I learned to make it when I was going to weight watchers.
It was one of the deserts we learned to make.
I eat it for breakfast at times or for lunch or just for a sweet snack. Try it, you will]
be surprised how good it is. You can use sugar instead of sweetner if you want. I use
sweetner because I don't want the calories from sugar.
Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend,
Your friend, Chris

I like it with a spoonful of jam or jelly on it, or honey. I've eaten on peaches or pears. But I'll also eat it plain or with pepper on it. I've eaten it in lasagna but I like the expensive cheese that the cottage cheese replaces as a cheap substitute better.

I love cottage cheese. I like it with tomato, or onion, or chives, or fruit. I love it in Italian food. Sometimes, if we have spaghetti, I will have it on the side and mix it. YuM!

I like cottage cheese with tomatoes, I also use it in a tuna caserol with eggs that is baked like custard. My husband eats it with a little jelly. So I'd guess you'd say it's a staple around here

mmmm...great discussion! I love cottage cheese! My favorite fast dinner with it is to make noodles, toss them with some butter, a little steamed cabbage and lots of cottage cheese! yum! You can even use a bagged cole slaw and steam some if you don't want to get a whole head of cabbage. I haven't tried that but thought about it. Some people use it as a replacement for ricotta cheese in the Italian dishes, but I don't really like that either.
