Today I went and i splurged on something pretty that wasn't really needed but I felt that I've done so well with only spending money on bills clothing that fits or food and not buying fun things. I said i was going to buy my self a present.
Today I bought myself 2 pairs of hoop Sleeper earrings (they stay in all the time with no worries of loosing them while you sleep) 10 carat white gold.
I know its something i'll use as my other sleepers had nickel in and were starting to hurt.
Its the first time I've gone and purchased my self jewelry at a jewelry store. I purchased 13 dollar sets from walmart before with like 40 pairs in but this was different.
Have you ever bought your self something pretty, shiny, expensive....a present for you just because?

First of all, what are hoop sleeper earrings, and how do they differ from regular hoop earrings?
Secondly, yes I have! I too bought something for myself. It was around mother's day this year. I bought myself a pair of gold earrings from Target. I spent a whole $20 on myself! I felt a little guilty, but I very rarely ever do such a thing, so I splurged! LOL
With all the earrings I have (maybe 3 or 4 pairs) each are missing one of the studs. I guess I should have stuck with mini hoops.

Hi there saundyl!
I often buy myself a present. I often reward or treat myself. This is very true especially at times when I did something really good or when I successfully accomplished something. There are times when I would treat myself to something expensive. But there are also times when I would treat myself to something that is inexpensive but something that is really special.

I don't typically go and buy things that aren't necessary however everyone in a while a treat is fun. Jewelry was a first for me.
I'm glad i bought the earrings - since getting them my ears have stopped hurting and i haven't had to take them out as much as i was with the old sleeper earrings. I must have been allergic to whatever was used to make the others.

The blue make me to hope life. The life will be well, if you believe myselt. A other door will open to you.

I think that everyone should buy something they want every once in a while to reward themselves for all the hard work they do,and I can not think of something expensive I have bought me just because I wanted to,but right now me and my fiance are saving up to buy an X-box 360 and an Nintendo Wii just because we want them and to reward ourselves for all the hard work we are putting into mylot.

Sometimes, I usually bought myself a present especially if I have an extra money.. I used to buy my self a new blouse, slippers, shoes, ponytails, watch, and other accessories that are not very expensive..
I don't used to buy expensive gift for myself.. Before I buy something, I will think very hard if I can use that item or not.. Because I don't want to buy something that I can even used.. I don't want to make my money buying into nothing (not important)..

I buy myself presents all the time. One year I bought myself a garnet and diamond ring that i wanted, and another year, a matching bracelet. One year I took a trip to Toronto, and another year I bought myself an old record player (a real working antique! I love it) When i can afford to do it, I like to treat myself.

What you just said makes me think of my mom and how often i see her go without something new so my sister can have something...It makes me wonder how often she used to do that when me and my other two sisters were mara's age. (Mara is 15 years younger than I.)
