Yes it was very impressive, I love how the Chinese people are so proud, they really put on a great show, I just hope all goes well for them for the rest of the games, they really deserve it...thank you to all my Chinese friends in here who might have waved to me...I was watching...

I don't have a TV, and I have decided to ignore te olympics completely. I don' like China's censorship, the fact that the press can't even get to it's own webites, and wha is going on in Tibet. I would have loved to have seen the opening ceremonies, but as I said, I am IGNORING the olympics this year.

"ignore the Olympics completely" why? because of something political? We admit that sometimes our media is mot open enough ,but it 's getting better. "What is going on in Tibet?" We donot know either . As all we konw ,Tibet has become one part of China long time ago. We learn that from the history .And people who learn about that from history will not singally learn it from things said by someone. And it's really a womdergul ceremony .You can watch it from YOUTOBE .Hope youcan enjoy yourself!

the fact that the press can't even get to it's own website and what is going on in Tibet ???????????????????????it's so exaggerated i live in china now ,in my opinion ,the press of some countrys may not cover china rightly ,as i know cnn has ever quoted some pictures to report what has happened in Tibet, but to our surprising ,the pictrues are what some reporter took in Sudan many years ago ,

Oh yes ! I watched it on the TV too. So impressive and so beautiful. China certainly has done an admirable job for it. This is very much to be admired in the history of the Olympics.

Yeah. It was the most stunning moment that I saw as far as I remember. Worth the effort for all Chinese. Not to mention mass choreography on the bird's nest.
