Hi guys... Its been a while since the last time I've been here.
My place was hit by a strong typhoon last June 21 I think.(typhoon Frank, Aklan Philippines) i thought it was the end of the world. I usually see that kind of situation on news but never I imagined experiencing the same. It is an experience I would never forget for the rest of my life.
My dear friends, just then I realize that we can't really tell what will happen to us. Hundreds of people died. Their corpse was put in the plaza of Kalibo for a day or two... because there is nowhere they can be buried... during that time the streets were full of mud. I've seen some of people crying because some of their family members were missing. Some even went to the plaza to see if their missing loved one was there. I dont know if they could still be recognize.
It didn't happen to me, but I think I know how painful it is, if your child or brother or mother or any other family member is missing. We should be thankful for every day given to us with our loved ones. WE should treasure and make the most out of it... tomorrow you cant tell what will happen next.
I have a picture of our house during and after the flood. If you want you can see it in my blog. http://mall-of-earnings.blogspot.com/2008/08/after-typhoon-frankits-good-to-be-back.html

How's Panay right now? Aklan is near Antique where we lived for five years. It's so sad to hear about what happened to Aklan. I experienced typhoon when I lived in Manila and in Bohol. I was able to go boating because of flooding brought about by a typhoon and raging winds but did not experience what Frank did to Aklan.
Yes, you're right. We should be thankful that we still have our loved ones with us.
We cannot control nature, so let's just pray that we will be saved if ever calamities come.

You are right. We have to do our best and save the best for last because we don't know when it hit our lives. I hope this tragic event end, but this tragic event made us realize the value of our life and the real earth we are facing.

I am sorry to hear that. It is awful to lose a loved one but worse if their life was took by forces of nature. I am truly sorry that you had to go through something so bad, but I am glad that you came through it as well as you did. Makes life seem more precious.

I have hardly seen any discussion on typhoon which ends up in finding out real pleasure of life. Correctly said - we all need to enjoy every moment of it so far and so long we are here.

Oh my. I'm so sorry. That looks like it left a big mess and a lot of destruction. I am glad you and your family are okay. I don't remember seeing anything about this on the news but there has been so much going on lately. You're right. We never know what tomorrow will bring. I hope it brings you good things though.
