What makes you drop the rating of the star to someone on mylot or raising it up?

Try not to take it personal. I think that some people really don't think, maybe don't care at all, about how someone might feel when the give a negative rating. I try to always rate my friends discussions and any good ones I come across. Unless someone is being personally mean to someone else I don't give a negative.

Well... I have never drop someone's star... or have I? I usually give them [+] for asnwering the discussion I started. It's my appreciation for people who's trying to give me a good solution for my problems. But sometimes I tempted to give [-] too especially when I saw newbies with one line posts that makes my [no responses] section full of those kind of discussions. well.. so far as i remembered, i've never give [-] or have I? I don't know, but some people might get offended by your answer or something so he/she gave you [-]. that's why I never get involved in a hot and controversional discussions lol

Rating given to a particular topic is purely a choice of the reader.Good rating requires a careful judging of the opinion and a wide understanding of the topic involved. A reader not finding the above qualities in a topic generally end up in giving a negative rating. Sadanand.

I never take it personally when someone drops my rating on mylot.I know that person might have done it for my own benefit.I never drop anyones rating in stars.I just read the discussions and give the best responses a + rating.

For me....i never give negative rating.If i see that the response or comment has nothing to do with the topic i leave it unrated.I don't like giving negative rating as i don't like to be rated negatively also.Sometimes there are few who really gives negative rates-i am not really sure.I took some of the pioneers advice not to bother myself with the star because it could go down to the lowest.Keep posting!

WEll I don't really take it so personal as long I'm having fun out here and I'm not hurting other people and that is the important thing..I know the feelin when some people don't care to think that when they put negative,they hurt some other people but just don't think about the points...:-0 Just always think that you are here for fun,earning friends and sharing ideas...:-0 Don't give up..:-0 I'm sure your points will go higher...:-0 Good luck and have a nice day...:-0

I usually mark everybody positive. I have marked negative only for abusive, rude posts or for religious fanatics who tolerate others views at all. Cheers and happy mylotting

hi vanila, as far as i remember, i never rate other mylotters negative. if i like their posts, i will rate them positive. if i don't like their posts, i will just leave it unrated. well, my rate just increase one point thx all of you friends for punching me.. happy week end

I have heard that they want you to have a good quality discussion here. Not many answers that are just a couple words long. But more like 4-5 sentences long! I hope that this helps you out!

I did not drop someone star,I am really careful doing response.But erlier today i notice my star drop one instead of 8 it become 7 i dont know what i did wrong why it guess like that.
