Breaking News Senator Edwards

Just watched the nightline interview with John Edwards. he is so slick--he is using a new tactic-not having his wife stand by his side- saying he alone is responsible- which is absolutely true- He kept commenting to Bob Woodruff -you know all of these allegations come from theses cheap tabloids that constantly lie! Well bob Woodruff should have said that's calling the Kettle black!--Laura Ingram used to call him Little pony with his obsession with his hair. He said he didn't pay the woman off and didn't know who did- so of course one of his workers takes the rap --Wasn't it public campaign funds--all crooked slimeballs!

This isn't exactly breaking news as it has been on every site, newspaper, tabloid, and radio and television news show all day. In fact the one tabloid put out this story months ago, when he denied it, then again and he denied it, and a third time just the other day and finally he came clean. They are also saying he fathered a kid with this lady but that he is still denying. We will have to wait to find out about that one.

He is probably done nothing that most of the others haven't done, it is just that he gor caught, I think we would all be surprised who has many skeletons in their closets..

I'm going to use the same response in this I have for the other threads on the topic because it's just easier: Heres my thoughts on the issue. I am going to defend (sort of) Edwards. Or rather, he and his family. He is not running for president anymore. He is not a sitting senetor. I don't even think he is a practicing lawyer these days. He is a private citizen like the rest of us. What he did was wrong on so many levels, but he did it to his family. We've been tolds, now the press should just leave it alone. The family is dealing with enough as it is. for them to continualy harp on it is only demonstrating a sensationalist blood thirsty crusaide.

I guess that we the public will have to wait until everything comes out and hear all the facts but, if the reports are correct, maybe Senator Edwards can be John McCain's VP.
