I have an online job now. I got it from craiglist, maybe you can try that one. I have sent about 10 applications and 9 did not respond. I got hired by the last one and it was a really good monday to friday online job. Odesk is alright but you have to bid for a job, I didn't find it very useful for me as there were many others ahead of you who tend to be hired because of their reputation. I don't know if it will work for you, though. Maybe you should try it.

Almost all of the data entry type of programs are just scams pretending to be legitimate. Usually they are asking for membership fees (ranging from $20 - $50) even before you are given informations on the program. And once you decide not to pursue and ask for refunds, that is where the problem is -- the admin could not be contacted anymore.
