My classmate is a celebrity-singer, and she just happens to be a member of our group for a class project. Its funny, but since I am not really a good conversationalist to begin with, I feel tongue-tied and intimidated around her. I would like to get over this handicap so we can work well to ensure the success of our project.
Any advice, please...

I would just be yourself and treat her how you would want to be treated. Celebrities want to be treated just like normal people so if you treat her as so I think you two will get along just fine for the length of your project! The last thing celebrities want, or at least most of them, is for you to treat them like they are more important than you or special because they are not. They're just like us except they make a little bit more money. :o)
Good luck and have fun! Any hint on who your classmate is?

Oh, she's actually a local celebrity, you wouldn't know her, but has her own right to "celebrity-ness" in our corner of the world.
Thanks for your advice. Sounds good and really down to earth. I think she would like it better too.

P.S. I only found out she was a celebrity when another classmate went all excited and asked for a picture and a autograph. I didn't even know she was famous; she looked so ordinary, but then, they're human too.

yes, don't worry about it.don't think your classmate is a celetrity-singer,you can feel better with him and has a good conversationalist. i am also afraid of my leader for many years ,and don't do a good conversationalist for many years,so i also want to get over this handicap to ensure the success of our work.

Thanks. I agree that engaging in normal conversation would be better and would make both her and me more at ease. Thanks for the tip :)

yeah spill! who is it? lol. but yeah i guess treating her normally would be the thing to do. its probably really hard because she's really not normal. i mean, fame and tons of money plus no normal social life doesnt make her pretty normal. if you really cant talk to her just email if you can just to make it easier to communicate or talk thru someone else.

Oh, sorry, you really wouldn't know her; she's a local singer from our part of the world. But thanks for the advice. :)
