I like to make mine the way that my grandma taught me to make fried potatoes. You leave the skin on and chop them up into fries, but shorter. She cooked hers in half oil and half margarine. (That half margarine really makes a difference in the taste.) Pan fried on the stove top in about an inch of oil. YUMMY!

my sister does, but not for me. she does well with cooking which is one of my weaknesses. anyway, my little sister, who is only 12 years old, makes her own fries. she cuts potatoes like the shape of real fries then she fry it with cooking oil. and i can say it really tastes so good.

My tip came from a mistake I made. I went to pour the oil into the pot and then waited until it was heated. Dropped my fries in there and once they were almost done...I realized that I was cooking them in olive oil verses regular cooking oil.
At first the thought of eating them made me gag! But once I took a bite out of one of them, they actually were quite tasty and now I fry them a lot in olive oil.

What I like to do is to eat them while I´m frying them. I use new oil every time and fry them in a very small pot so I don´t throw away so much oil. So that the first batch goes for the cook
