is it really necessary?

Well I can get on without makeup (because most days I have to go to school and the school doesn't really allow much makeup) but most of the time, I find it necessary to apply some foundation because otherwise, my face will be an oilslick by mid-day. If I have enough time or if I'm having a really bad day in terms of my complexion, then it's concealer and foundation for me. So for my case, it is necessary in the sense that I badly need oil control on a daily basis. However, in a general sense, I think that makeup can boost our confidence as women, making us feel good about ourselves through our appearance.Thus, it is probably necessary in that aspect. Certain occupations also require the use of makeup to keep up appearances and professionalism so it could be necessary for women in those occupations.

I dont like to wear lots of makeup. Most days i dont bother. I wear it if I am going to a work function or something like that. I really dont wear it alot. If I am going to go out in an evening I will wear it. It is good to have to put on for important functions. I like the way it looks but not everyday.

I'm still schooling now so I don't wear any colour to school or whatever. However, I do find that sometimes, a little foundation and concealer is absolutely necessary for those days where my skin is unbearably oily or blotchy and you just feel like this horrible and grotesque monster facing everyone. And yes, lipbalms and glosses are somehow always in my makeup bag- so that's a pretty fair indicator of me liking ii lol!

I work for a retail store and deal with the public so i just wear mascara,eye liner and blush. On my days off i don't put any on, my husband hates it to begin with. He has a stroke if i put lipstick on when we go to a wedding.

I don't think makeup is a MUST, but it is nice to wear to cover up a few flaws and to dress us up a little when we are going out. I don't wear a lot, but I do put some on to give my face a little color. And like you, I always need to be wearing something on my lips. If I don't need any color, like lipgloss, I will just use lip balm.
