Do you cut your cat's claw? I dont ^__^... Even though my cats dont intendedly scratch me, I just want their claws sharp and pointed so that they can limb up trees whenever dogs chase them. I mean, id rather get scratches rather than them ending up get killed by big dogs. How about you?

I don't clip my cat's claws either. I own three and they are all indoor only cats. They are content to scratch on their scratching posts and toys. We don't have any problem with them scratching any of us and if by any chance they do, it has always been by accident.

My cats are inside only; they don't get out, so they don't need to climb trees. I occasionally clip their claws because they get stuck on things. They bite them and scratch on their scratching posts. Most of the time they don't scratch me at all.

hmm ... i think it is not right to clip the nails off a cat... coz they need them... and your own pet does not scratch you... so there is no need

Apparently i had to cut em off. My cat likes to pounce at me with her claws and she plunged them deep into my skin esp. the thighs. i always ended up screaming with tears in my eyes. i love her but it's just that the claws need to go before i go 'clawing' at her instead. luckily, she's 100% domesticated. she is still small and i'm not allwoing her to go outside yet all on her own.
