Has anyone rented any good movies , Everyother saturday we have family
movie night and looking for any suggestions on some good movies
to watch. Its a night we have popcorn , and drinks and make it
fun for the kids like we are in a real movie theater.
So kids movies , or even movies for me and the husband to
watch would be appreciated.

I watched Batman: Gotham Knight(2008) last night and it was awesome to watch. It's really a compilation of Batman stories and let me tell you it's animation, not the Dark Knight one. Though Dark Knight is equally good, there is probably nothing else than animation to catch Batman in his true splendor. Some of the stories in Gotham Knight are freaky and gory, but some of them really shows or tries to show Batman's inner feelings and pains. I love "Field Test" where Bruce tells if he's going to risk any life for a cause, it has to be his only. That's a nice line to hear from the untrusted superhero. "In Darkness Dwells" and "Working Through Pain" has a lot to offer to Batman fans to tell of the inexplicable pleasure he takes in his notion of pain. Lastly, the last story, "Deadshot" didn't quite live up to the expectation. I mean, it's good to watch but it's more like any other hero saving some guy from some dangerous perilous villain. The Batman quotient is low there.
An overall great movie to watch, though it's an animation. I hope you are not among the ones who just don't take animation seriously enough.

I don't think 4 year-olds usually understand Batman really. Yes, the movie should be okay to watch along with the whole family, but as I've said there's a bit blood and gore to watch out for. But, in a movie where heroes are to succeed over villains, this is expected. Right?
Go on, get the movie. The first story here has 4 kids spinning tales about Batman in a mythical way, and Batman comes suddenly, fighting just another criminal, all bruised and helpless, and one of the kids rescues him actually. And Batman says thanks! It's inspiring to watch a movie about an ordinary hero who says thanks to ordinary people for saving his life! Lesson for your kid may be! kiddin'..!
