Losing a friend !

Last year in June, my friend Prasanta came to me and asked me if I could lend him 5000 bucks for medical emergency . Since it was a medical emergency , I instantly decided to give away the money .
It's almost one and a half year gone and my friend has neither contacted me nor repaid the money he took from me . During this period I've never asked him for the money as this is against my principle . I thought my friend would repay the money once this emergency was over . But I was wrong . It's been a lesson for me . This is perhaps the kind of situation that brings out the truth about friendship . How many of you have gone through the similar experiences ?

hi... i have not gone through sudh a kind of situation,but my parents have. it usually happens in relationships. we lend the money,they completely forget abt it,and we are sooo hesitant to ask abt the money. i feel u have ask ur friend the money,if he is in a better financial stata today. dont leave it like that. he may take for granted.
