Who will be the Olympic Champions?

The Olympics just got started!
I had just watched Germany battle against the Angola. The Germans, bannered by Dirk Nowitzki and Chris Kaman, simply dominated the African Champions. Played a great game but still has some flaws.
But are they one of the contenders to win the gold medal? Americans are again fancied to be the winners for the basketball men's division. But will they regain the Olympic stage? Since Argentina, Greece and Lithuania have beaten them few years back? Will Kobe Bryant able to lead this young, talented team? Will Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki, Manu Ginobili, Andrew Bogut, and the other NBA Players snatch the gold medal?

I am really positive that USA would bag the gold right now. :) Like, 99%. Lol. Their exhibition games were just awesome winning by huge margins each time. I think Spain, Argentina and Greece would be contenders but I'm pinning my hopes on the US team. ;)

I have no doubt that this time 99.99% the US basketball team will take the olympic gold this time. the world is now facing a different us basketball team they are more experienced, hungrier, chemistry level is high and equipped with battle tested men. they now have the veteran leadership of Jason Kidd and Kobe Bryant. eventhough kidd doesn't play that much on any game giving much more time to paul and williams, Jason Kidd is a big plus on the US team. he takes off the pressure on the two young guards and really provides great leadership.

Well they won the gold which most people thought they would. And it was a pretty close game with spain coming in with 4 points in the fourth quarter. So I think they met everyones expectation if they lost this game I think most people would of called there run this year a faliure including them since they wanted the gold so bad. Yeah I thought it was pretty good game was close till the end. It was the only game that I watched because of the timee couldnt stay up to 4 during the weekdays.

the United States is going to win the gold medal in basketball. They just routed Germany by 49 points and they beat their rivals Greece and the World Champions from 2006, Spain. There is no equal to the Americans in this Olympic event. Kobe made the difference.

I would bet on the United States of America to finally win the gold in Beijing. They have looked great so far these Olympics, blowing out both China and Angola. And also, Argentina, the defending gold medal winner, has already lost, to Lithuania. I think that Germany will get the silver, because Dirk and Chris Kaman are such a force on that team that won't be stopped except by the US. Argentina will get the bronze in my honest opinion. Go USA!

After watching the US destroy China, Germany, and Spain, I don't think there is any doubt that they should win. All those teams have looked helpless so far! Now the big question is who will be getting silver and bronze! Welcome back USA!

I think this year the US will take it. In the past the US has not cared about winning, and sent a second rate team. This time is different. The top players all together. It will be amazing.

it was so excited to see so many the best NBA palyers take part in the Olympics ,Kobe Bryant,and so on ,which country will be the olympic champions ?
the USA or Argentina ,the USA players is so talented ,out of question the USA players are the best ones in the world,but when they get together whether the teem is the best one ,contrarily ,the Argentina ones do not reach the level as the USA .but when they get together they will become more stronger ,let's wait
