Is money the root of all evil?

Money is not the root of all evil, the LOVE of money is the root of all evil.

I cant say that I agree or disagree with that, but I think it depend on each person,, If they can control himself not to do anything bad to get some money I think thats OK but as I know people usually try to do everything as long as it able to give them some money although everybody will suffer with that,, Maybe that proverbs is right "Money is the root of evil"

I don't agree with the proverb,because money is required by all for their maintenance.without money we can not survive even a day.so we earn money,it is not the evil,but the greed to accumulate money by any means is the evil. so greediness is the source of all evil,as the great Buddha had said.thanx.

yes,i agree.if i have a lot of money i will very unhappy,becasue i don't lost money,it can many things for me.i just need a little money that can live for everday.i don't need money ,i just eat a little food,i don't need to restaurant,i don't like that place.becasue it is a game for have a lot of money.now ,i don't say that i have just a little money ,i have some money not to rich ,but more richer than ever before,so i am unhappy very day.how can i do? i don't need money ,money is a root of all evil.i love china.

It's a tricky one! Power is also evil,but then again,money, more often than not brings some kind of power.People will often do evil things for money,but they will also do some pretty hideous things for power,recognition and even love.

Money is not the root of all evil. Evilness comes when we started to love money. I think we better use money rather money using us. Let's treat it as a thing on our life but not our ALL.

I am not sure whether I agree with this or not. Money can do a lot of good. It is not the money that creates evil but how the person uses the money. To blame money which is a inannimate object to be the root of all evil to me doesn't make sense. When the saying said the root of all evil. All evil being what I disagree with. There are other things around that can cause evil.
