I am once for my life trying to keep my hair reaching my waist but am finding great difficulty. I live in Asia with very hot and humid weather. I tends to find discomfort and i start to sweat around my neck as the hair are sticking on the neck. Besides, my hair become exceptionally dry as it gets longer now although I have put so much of conditioner. I almost want to give up now by visiting a hair saloon and cut it off! Before I do so, any advise from anyone be it girls or guys?

If you want to look good with long hair you will have to take the trouble.Tie your hair when you sweat .Do regular oiling of hair and use the proper shampoos .Long hair is a rare asset and if you have long hair you should maintain them .Women with long hair are very attractive and feminine . Use accessories like hairbands ,pins and clips to keep the hair in place . Dont think your hair is troubling you , just feel proud that you have long hair.

i am trying to keep my hair long too. it's going to reach my waist soon. i'm hoping to keep it all the way to my butt before changing my hair style. i stay in singapore and the weather is pretty hot and humid too. what i do is use a clip and 'bun' up my hair. or i'll just tie them up in a pony tail.
as for the dry hair, maybe you want to start combing your hair. not just to get the tangles out but to bring the sebum down to the ends. this is important especially for long hair. i usually comb my hair for a minute. cheers ;p

maybe I should try combing my hair more often. Yes I have to tie up my hair when it gets hot but sometimes i feel i just get sweaty very fast with my long hair. If i am always tying my hair up kinda defeat the purpose of keeping the long hair. I cant flaunt it.haha. thanks for your reply anyway!have a nice day

If it's realy uncomfortable for you in the summer to maintain long hair you can cut it a little bit, like 5-6 centimeters and 'till the winter your hair will grow up. you can also eat food that good for the hair. you have to eat food with a lot of minerals, especially iron, zinc, copper and selenium and vitamins B1, B2, B6 and B12. but not too much 'cause some of the people geting dry hair from too many vitamins. good luck.

I would have to say tons of conditioner and hair oils like jojoba oil, coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, cocoa butter and lots of combing with a wide tooth comb

hey i have long hair up to mu waist but i have no problem with it .. though my hair is quite thin .. well it is more fine hair than thin but still do not have any problems with it .. is your hair pretty thick? maybe if i had thicker hair it would be more hard to handle. why dont you put your hair up if it sticks to your hair that way it will get it out of your face and make you less hot and bothered!!..
why dont you have a trim or someting and then by time you will get use to the long hair

No my hair is thin. Well, i will tie my hair up but then sometimes it defeats the purpose of keeping long hair right? So I let it go, even in air-condition room but a lot of activities like drinking or walking around or clubbing, I tend to sweat the fastest compare to other friends.

I think you can try to cut it off.maybe you looks much prettier with long hair than with short hair.Becayse short hair come back into vogue about this years. So you should don't care of exceptionally dry.if the hot weather/
