Do you have transient houses in your country just like those in the U.S.?

Most of us who have watched Pursuit of Happyness must have noticed the transient house where Will Smith and his kid stayed for a night. In our country, the Philippines, I have heard that a transient house will be opened along EDSA. I think putting up this place is a great idea, especially during the rainy season in our country.
