What do you Collect

I have a huge collection of Shot Glasses and Bar wear. I started the collection when I was 22 and I haven't stopped. I have over 300 Shot glasses (no doubles) and well over 200 different Beer Glasses, as well as other bar material, and drinking games. I love my collection it is so fun. I get most of my items second hand which makes it an adventure to find new items. People do give me shot glasses and such as gifts and I do pick some up as souvenirs when I go to new places. Someone today gave me about 40 shot glasses (off of freecycle) And even some cool drip mats and salt and pepper shakers. So what kind of things do you collect and how long?

i collect way too much. i have green depression glad, silohettes, wall pockets. amyethst glasswareelvis memobilia,amberina moon & stars,hair receivers, u name it . i was in the antiwue buisness for a long time & i was my best customer. lol

lol. That does sound like a great collection. I used to collect Treasure trolls I had over 300 but I recently sold them so I could make room for the bar-ware. lol Collecting stuff is really fun, especially when you can go to a random yard sale and find a new treasure to add to your collection for like pennies compared to buying in the store. I am a bit of a movie buff. So I collect movies. I have quite the collection. At this point I have something from every decade except the '20s.

That is quite the collection. It is amazing where you can find some of the things that you collect. I enjoy collecting things and have since I was a young boy. I first started in stamps but since then, I got more into collecting sports memorabilia, especially sports cards, mostly baseball. I have also recently started to collect weighing scales. Though I don't go out buying a lot of them, I do keep my eyes open for the older ones.
Speaking of collecting, back in the late 1970s, there was a collection of 5x6 cards that came out in the USA. There was about 2000 cards and could be sent for through the mail. They were of all types of sports. I have been looking for these but have only found a few. Are you familiar with them? I have also seen some similar cards on other subjects such as cars and animals.
