on saturday morning when i was on my way to work, i witnessed another incident within a week. the bus stopped at the bus stop and an old man, (maybe he's a beggar or maybe not cause he is not that dirty) was trying to get on with one arm stretched on the bus already, the evil driver suddenly shut the door on purpose, and shouting at the old man"you can't get on, don't, you are dirty and smelly", with this he started the bus, the old man had to withdraw his arm being left in the street. a day later, i went to talk to the station master to complain, telling him the driver is depriving the old man's basic right, how dare could the driver do so? should people be refused anywhere only because they are smelly? who want to be smelly? my goodness! if all the driver did the same thing, then the old man had to wait for a whole day without getting on. what i got from the station master was " the drive is doing right, if he gets on, other passengers may dislike that, or the old man may beg on board, or he may....." BUT, everything depends on IF !!!! what a master? small wonder his men are so rude and badly-bred!

We have to be careful of how we treat people. The bottom line, is that he needed to get on the bus and because of how he looked, smelled, and whatever else he was deprived of getting on. I don't agree with the way the situation is being handled. If he gets on the bus begging--address the issue, but don't just say if or leave him on the curb. He is still an individual. We don't know what state we'll be in tomorrow, so we should treat people how we want to be treated. Gabbana your discussion shows the fact that you have heart, you care, and we are fortunate to still be surrounded by individuals such as yourself. johnson3

yes, we have common in this matter. in short, under no circumstances ,the driver has no right to decide who can get on and who can't. he is only doing his work, offering service, and no more. thank you for response, have a good time, pal.

It could also be that the driver had some bad experience with the same old guy ... did you talk to the driver ??

the driver only repeated that the old man is smelly, esp on such hot summer day, which shows that the old man has never vialated the regulations by begging on board or things like that. who wants to get stinky? people at his age should get more care rather than despise. at any rate, the driver has no right to judge who should get on and who should not . i get on the bus , well-dressed, but it doesn't promise i won't do anything like a terrist to bomb the bus.

Its sad that life can be so cruel. Unfortunately people can use anything as an excuse for cruelty. I really appreciate you for taking the matter to the authorities - most of us would have shrugged and walked away. Some day people like you will have your way in life surely. Thanks for trying to make the world a better place - I appreciate your sensitiveness and personal involvement.

It is possible that the driver was angry about something else, not even related to the old man. If the driver perceived the old man to be someone who would not defend himself then he could be cruel to the old man and make himself feel better. Unfortunately, people do this to others far too often.

i believe in no way does the driver have a right to treat people like that!!! if he is not in the mood to drive, ok, go home and take a day-off. could anyone who is not in the good mood shout or be rude to others in their work? no sense.

ho yes that is so rude really but that person if he comes before bus then no one can stop the anger so i think the driver also dont want to tell like this to that person but he was in front of the bus so he told that i think.

the old man gets on front the front door as usual, and there is no sign that he won't pay for the ticket. and even if he is unalbe to pay, i will pay for him, it's nothing. and the public transport company won't feel anything differnt with 1.00 yuan less. in short, the driver has no reason to do so. and there is no excuse for him
