Sure I do lol... and I think most people here do. As a matter of fact, most people lose interest in things they like after some time. Only those who have found their "true love" will likely continue to keep their passion fired up. As myLot, I used to be really active here. Now, I am just here on and off and my activity-meter is at a global low.

Oh boy! The avatars you choose how do you come across them anyway? I do sometimes, especially when there’s nothing interesting to reply to…you know the usual discussions about bf cheating, or earning extra online, or child not listening, religious intolerance etc…But even then I hang around, hoping and waiting for that little jewel, tucked in some corner of anonymity and usually I am rewarded. On those days, I have posted max 3 or 4 discussions but they have been rewarding nonetheless.

you have to look hard to find a diamond. but it is well worth the search when you do!

I feel that way a lot of the time also. I get online and have so much I want to get done and the motivation goes as soon as I log on. I log into mylot and don't find anything interesting to me that day or I just can't force myself to participate. I think we all go through these stages. Good luck and hope you get energized.

Yeah I get like this quite a lot, some days I just cannot seem to get the enthusiasm to answer to anything. I think that it is time to take a break when I get like this!

Every now and then I do yes! I am after all only human..... There are days where no matter how hard I look I just can't seem to find anything that inspires me. Yet there are other days when I can't seem to get enough of myLot and type like crazy! But then again this behaviour pretty much exists with most things. Sometimes I don't feel like working for example, or eating, or doing anything at all. Just another one of life's ups and downs I guess and I am sure that most people will have to admit that they too are less than enthusiastic at times towards many things.

Hi Xboxboy, I have been feeling the same all weekend, I can't even think up a good discussion topic to post and I'm not usually lost for words. There are hardly any new discussions from friends in my inbox either so yes like you just popping in and out again really. Ellie :D

Yea, I do and on those days I just try to post discussions Im interested in but it doesnt always work out the way I want it too where Ill get like two responses so its like I have nothing to talk about so I just go read my books. Another thing that pushes me away from Mylotters is if I have been too much time at the keyboard and my hands start to hurt and that gets a little scary so I have to take a break, my neighbor just had surgery from Carpal Tunnel and I do not want some stranger cutting any part of my body open, gross.

sometimes i lose my enthusiasm and dont want to write anymore for example when i write really original discussion and when it recieves only 1 or 2 posts i really get sad and angry and lose my enthusiasm because i m really thinking hard to find something which is really original and when i find i m getting excited writing it as descriptive as it can be but after all that work nobody is replying soo i m getting frustrated and sad but when i see my earnings next day i get enthusiastic again so its not being a problem lol :)
@xboxboy (5576)
10 Aug 08
that is correct. i have noticed that more mundane discussions get more responses and ones that i think are original get few. but my original discussions are pretty cr@p!
10 Aug 08
sink like a treacle spanner. not yet. i get confused about my answers so i stick to simple discusions.

I do but when I get close to the pay out amount I get motivated to post more often and reply to discussions. I think it's only normal to get burned out on any type of website, not just mylot.

Sometimes I actually do. I'm oftentimes very moody and at times, when I open up mylot, I just look at it and do something else. There were days when I was really really active maybe because I had more time than what I have right now. I do miss the days when all I would do most of the day is mylot. See 'ya around!

I can understand that you have gotten deenergized when it comes to mylot and I can honestly say that is has happened to me a couple times,but only when I spend too much time on mylot without taking a break to relax,and when I do finally take a break and try to return to mylot I can not think of any discussions to start and can not find the words that I need to respond to anyone,that is why I strongly suggest that all mylotters take breaks.

I was so enthused about Mylot when I first found it. I would sit here for hours looking at discussions and responding to them. And even though I am fairly new at this (I haven't had my first payout yet), I am starting to get bored with it. I find some of the discussions so idiotic that I won't even waste my time on them. I do enjoy Mylot, don't get me wrong, but there are some days that I just can't seem to come up with a discussion that interests me.

i used to sit at work and in the middle of a meeting i would scribble something down on paper because i thought that would make a good mylot discussion! sadly does not happen anymore. i need to recharge my batterys with a nice holiday!
