OK so this has been annoying me for a bit now. I ride my bicycle to work everyday 6days a week and it drives me crazy to see some people water there front lawns and put it over top of the sidewalk too, just so they can water two sides of the grass. Why not just do them seperatly; your waisting alot of water just having it all over your sidewalk, not to mention getting everyone wet! We cannot exactly ride our bikes/walk on the highway. Even bussiness here are doing this... Does this drive anyone else mad/crazy? Have you expeirenced similar issues? Whats your opinion on this?

maybe they do that because they want the grass to grow more. maybe they want the sidewalk to be more clean. no dust.

If they want the sidewalk clean they should simply take a house and quickly wash it off. Its faster, and it waste less water

Hi questionsnoanswers, Gosh! what a waste of water for the sake of theeir grass, its disgusting, we are not even allowed to use hose pipe to water our garden because in some areas there water bann and we are not allowed to waste water. What would those people do if you had a water bann where you live? Tamara

I agree with you on the water of grass, its a waste of water. If you want to water your grass, construct a rain water barrel in which you can use to re-cycle rain water. P.S i am from AB, Canada

I saw a lot of idiotic watering practices in Arizona. Watering in the middle of the day when most of it would evaporate, stuff like that. Yes, watering the sidewalk is silly!

I can see why it would be annoying to you but even if they put the sprinkler on both sides it will still spray water onto the sidewalk or road. I would think though that a simple mention to the police department would make them have to remove it from the sidewalk. They are obstructing a public walk way and that is against the law. if you were to trip over that sprinkler and get injured you could file a lawsuit and would probably win. That is a bit extreme but there are things you can do.

I have no problem of someone trying to water both sides of the grass, but at least make the water spray lower (maby at ankle level?). I mean i ride my bike to work, and i have to pass thru the water every day or else attempt to get killed driving my bike on the high way. Its completly unsafe too when the water sprays up high at eye level. Natural reflexs make one to close there eye so they dont get water in it and well if i do that maby i will end up on the high way.
