I was filling out a survey.. one of the questions asked "which of the following are you aware of....? Select ALL that apply" They then list over 100 name brand types of this particular item. Soooooooooo I proceed to check each one that I have hear of.. I have heard of most everything they listed so I check them all. I then get an error that says "you have selected more the the allowable amount Max 99" OOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKAYYYYYYY So why tell me to select all that apply if they are going to put a limit on the amount of items I can choose? What errors do you encounter when filling out surveys?

that's an annoying experience for you there. i really want to do those survey stuffs and get paid. but most of the time, my application's denied for the reason that i am not from canada or the US. there are those who accept internation members but the surveys are limited and rare. so up to this time, i haven't answered any survey yet.

Hopefully, the international surveys will pick up for you soon. I had no idea most they were limited to the US and Canada. Thanks for educating me

I know exactly what you mean. Some times I fill it in exact as the survey asks, can not find an error and it still wont let me go on to the next question! This can be espesialy annoyong if its more then say, half way through the survey and you cant get to the end and loss out on the money. Sometimes I email for help with them and the companies are not very helpful, though when I have had suvery probs with Lightspeed I have found their suggestions helpful. I also hate it when the survey says the page can not be found, losing the survey.

YES this is exactly what I am talking about. I have had those errors before too, often ending with the same results, hosting company not very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to read the question thoroughly and answering appropriately, that is a very good thing! You will gain much respect being a newbie and you will go far here in mylot if you carry on your current trend. Thank you and welcome to mylot!

I have seen this happen before as well. I guess they should say check a certain number. Some surveys do but others don't.

That would be good, specify the MAX amount you can choose instead of "choose ALL that apply .. this would be so much better

My biggest thing is when they ask the same question about age and things over and over again. I have never had one like that thankfully.

I wish they could just learn to forward all of the basic info about us to the partnering survey site BEFORE that site invites us to partake in a survey we don't qualify for in the first place

LOL, that is so funny. I think it must be some scripting error. But honestly if you ask me, I don't like such tedious surveys. Give me a break.

Geez, that sounds like a plain boring approach... not a well-designed survey, I think. I usually don't mind answering surveys (even if I get nothing from it) but if they are too long, I usually won't do them to start with (if I know the length) or just abort the process prematurely.

That's all I can figure too.. The tedious ones drive me nuts too.. like when they ask you how many times you have eaten at any give fast food restaurant.. if you check 3 then they ask you the same 30 questions about each with 15 different choices for each of the 30 answers WTF is up with THAT? I have learned to lie and only choose 1 restaurant for fear of being stuck in a 3 hour long survey

Hi ya dissblnd Online surveys do my head in. Sometimes they ask you your age and gender and then tell you that you don't qualify! Or you get nearly half way through a survey when they tell you that you don't qualify! And the ammount of spam mail I recieve that is generated through doing online surveys is a nightmare aghhhhh

That definitely defeats the point of telling you to select all hat apply. LOL I hae when surveys do stuf like that. I gues people think we're not smart eough o know them all, bu with ADERTIZING the way it is, how could we NOT know all the popular name bands? It's nuts!!!!!

I thought it was a self-defeating survey myself! I had to re-start the survey.. and only selected 3 of the over 100 items listed.. WHATEVER! You are right on... how could we OT know about all of the crap that they bombard us with every day.

The one I dread going to is the one that requires you to put in a confirmation ID to see your balance. I'm still waiting on an email with the numbers. Plus you have to fill out every detail about yourself before every survey. I think their $25 payout is a bit high too.

It sounds wild to me! The rules should be clear to start. Too many confusing things going on in this world! Try to laugh it off.

It seems to me that it is trying to make sure that you really mean it, that answer is the best one for you! So many times we answer no to a survey question, and that is the end of the survey!

It is quite humorous to have these types of errors, especially when they tell you "select ALL that apply" Oh well I was able to finish the survey and will get paid.. which is my main goal

yeah, because the web scripts in survey pages are designed to have only a suitable number of options, sometimes the web code fails to run correctly leading to errors like that

OTX is the one that really ticks me off. After I answer about ten questions, they boot me out saying I don't qualify. Greenfield is the same way. Are you signed up with Survey Spot? They're very good, I make some nice change from them.

I've had surveys like that too. The ones that get me are when there is no response that matches what I think or feel, and they don't include an answer "none of the above." If they want truthful results, I have to quit the survey. If I want to go on, I have to select something that doesn't match my situation.

By the way, thanks to all thoes who welcomed me here. I have also found the survey error where it asks me to give an answer and I have and it insists that I haven't. And do you find yourself going mad when your invited to a survey and then find that you can not qualify for it because of your profile answers? If its in the profile that I did not qualify, why send the survey- is this an error or laziness of the survey companies? Hmm.
