i am without a doubt, NOT a morning person lol! i am super grumpy, easily annoyed, frequently snappish, and an all out person to avoid! or so my family tells me, but then i pretty much always knew that and i wont deny it. everybody in the house knows to just leave me alone until ive gotten done with my morning routine, dressed and done feeding the animals..THEN you can start asking me stupid questions about things you would find if you just looked for them yourself LMAO!

It sort of depends on a few factors. If I got a good night's sleep, I might recuperate from waking up a little quicker. But, most nights, I don't sleep all that well so it takes me a good 15 or more minutes to get my head straight. Also, during certain times of the month, I am more groggy when I wake up in the AM so it might take even longer for me to snap out of la la land. I have a rough voice. My eyes squint for what seems like forever. My bangs are usually all over the place but, the rest of my hair is tied back into a loose pony tail because it is long and not comfortable just hanging loose and down. And, some days, I am just cranky as all heck when I first get up. But, most days, when given enough time to come alive, I am ok. I am not a morning person though so, the only real saving Grace for me is my coffee. I look forward to getting it and am better once it starts working its magic. LOL!

i come down eyes squinting and hair a mess.. my daughter laughs at me, and i do her sometimes, as her eyes like pixie's, both of us having long hair.. i am fine, not moody, just as long as all is good and no problems, like computer problems to fix.. as sometimes have happened, and we just dont need it first thing in morning when we just want little peace to drink our, as you say, 'magic' coffee haha thanks for response

When I wake up in the morning I am half out of it !! I will come and have my coffee and then perk up some . I can be sometimes moody and everyone knows that too . Once I am awake I will relax some and then get ready !

lol interestng question!!! It makes me smile though to see all the different responses... I myself though am quite the morning person... I have a set schedule every morning on te weekdays with a few friends where we wake up around 6 in the morning, get ready, meet at the neighborhood park, and then take a half hour to fourty-five minute jog with them or have a soccer scrimmage where the grass is still wet and cold to the touch... lol I love that feeling. I love it because then I am awake for work after I grab a bite to eat on my way home and head for work at 8. That is my usual morning, but then on the weekends I go out to kayak around 8 for about an hour because I live on a river... lol I love being active if you can't tell yet. You should try, maybe you might realize that your mornings will be easier to wake up to. lol thanks for asking and keep posting

just like you, i am a little sleepy zombie whenever i wake up in the morning. i feel a lot lazy and would really hope to stay longer in bed. i will first roll over on my bed until it's already too late. it's by then i will wake up and will quickly take a warm shower. after, i'll feel refreshed and awake.

i HATE having to rush out of bed.. i am one of those that set up alarm BEFORE i need to get up and keep hitting the snooze haha.. i always feel much better after shower, but first i need coffee and short while here thanks for response

I'm pretty unsteady when I first wake up. I'm always a bit groggy too. It takes me several minutes to fully wake up and not feel like I'm still asleep. I don't like speaking much when I first get up. I just want to be left alone for awhile until I wake up. People however tend to bug me a lot and it just frustrates me and makes me grumpy.

I'm usually quiet. People always tease me about being grumpy because I'm not a talker in the morning. I tend to keep to myself until I wake up for a bit. I'm usually NOT grumpy though, I just need a bit to wake up until I start having conversations.

i understand, just need a little 'me' time first thing in the morning. i sit here with coffee for little while and can be smiling at something here, so i am not moody.. but others if bother you with problem or want something and id say. why cant it wait. and will say 'god you in mood' but am NOT just need half hour to enjoy a coffee in peace hehe thanks for response

When my mom tries to wake me up in the morning to go to school I am still half asleep as I yell "SHUT UP!" in my sleepy voice, for I still yearn to sleep and DO NOT dream of taking a shower and going to the dreaded SCHOOL. But I eventually get up, take a shower while I am STILL half asleep. I get out of the shower and dry off. I lay down and go back to sleep for a few minutes or maybe I just watch tv. Then I finally get dressed. Watch some more tv. And eventually go to school. A Starbucks coffee helps a lot.

It depends on how I get up. if I am just allowed to sleep and get up naturally I am always in a better mood than when I have to get up. Generally I am not in a bad mood rather I am just kind of blah. Not really happy or grouchy. it is usually too early to tell how things are going to turn out.

Hi I am fine in the morning I awaken and I am fresh as a daisy ,It is one of my best times of the day,a time when my energy levels are good, and I feel on top of the world. But I know the morning is a bad time for some a time when they feel they cannot function well, maybe they need to take some extra vitamins,or have a good breakfast to buck them up.

I'm a lazy, slow mess when I first get up in the morning until i've had my coffee, i'll take 2 cups thank you... :) I'm easily irritated too I guess but I don't just go and yell at everyone about it....
12 Aug 08
i know what mean, i am too if bothered with problems.. \Otherwise i am fine, but do need half hour to enjoy my coffee in peace and have some 'me' time to wake up fully thanks for response

I must admit that I am one of the grumpy ones. I am one of those people that needs some space after I get up. Give me my coffee and at least a 1/2 hr on the computer before you even think of talking to me, lol.
12 Aug 08
hehe your name i just noticed, i jsut did discussion on cinnoman about health benefits haha.. how strange anyway.. it seems most of us need at least half hour first thing in morning of 'me' time.. if no other people we wouldn't feel grumpy lol thanks for response

Zombie-esque could describe most mornings. No voice - too much drainage during the night and it takes almost an hour of throat clearing to be able to speak without choking on the vile stuff. Kind of on autopilot, because I get my mother's breakfast, dole out her meds and inhalers for the morning, pour her coffee and mine, put everything away and rinse off any dishes we used and then disappear back into my "cave" to become human again. Not really miserable - just not really here.

Well it really depends how much sleep I got the night before. If I got enough sleep I would be cheerful enough, otherwise I would be grumpy the whole day. Well usually I get enough sleep so there is nothing to worry about me turning into a monster during mornings and besides if you start your day beautifully then the rest of your day would be beautiful as well.
12 Aug 08
yes agree.. i am normally ok in morning even if little tired as long as i am not bothered with problems before i barely got out of bed Think we all need at least half hour totally to our selfs thanks for response

when I wake up on my own- I'm usually in a good mood and just ready to do things. It is when people wake me up from sleep that I get in a really foul mood.
12 Aug 08
yea that is true, since we need at least half hour for our selfs, as i do thanks for response
