I was 13 years old in Art Camp..a painting of a truck and several row homes i made up..the collector who bought the painting gave me a blank check and told me "how much you think it's worth?.." i told him 35 dollars.. My instructor at the time told me " your crazy you could have asked for more.." My response was " well i didn't know just made up the value and received it ", that folks was my first sale ever. Drawing is very recent, my work then was very different.

I am not an artist, but nowadays I think artists are lucky to get 35 dollars for a painting. (Considering the way our economy is nowadays.)

I think I was 21 or 22 when I actually sold something I had done. I had two water color pieces that were companion pieces. I had them matted and framed for an auction. They were sold separately and brought in about $85 total. I was kind of flattered that they thought the pieces were even worth putting in the auction.*L* As for actually getting paid for any of my paintings or drawings, I haven't put anything out there for that purpose yet. My art is my jewelry these days.
