What would you do if you're best friend broke the law?

It would depend on the crime for me. If it was something where he was facing prison or jail time I would definitely try and persuade him to turn himself in. I would not want to not tell anyone and then the police find out and then I'm charged as an accessory. No thank you!
I would hope that my boyfriend is smart enough though not to do anything illegal but I guess you never know. First I would probably smack him, then tell him we're going to the police.

If you love him more, forgive and forget. And especially if you have children. And if you feel its accident and having confidence that he wont repeat again. Warn him and live cautiosly.
If you feel, he will keep as a habit. crush him and throw him out....
Decision makes happy living.

You know My husband hasn't done anything wrong this was just a what if best friend or bf did something and told you what they did. If it was a violent crime I would be the first to turn them in If it were a crime against a child I honestly don't think the police would get to them on time i take hurting kids pretty seriously. The way I see it If you did something truly bad I don't want to be the one you tell.

For me it would depend on the crime and if that crime hurt anyone else (either by damaging something they owned or physically hurting them).
One of my friends hit a parked car and I would have told on her if I would have known who the driver of the parked car was.
If my friends told me they were downloading music illegally though or something like that, I wouldn't really care.

I would first try to persuade him to turn himself in. If that didn't work, depending on the severity of the offence--I would indeed turn him in. I just do not want to be an accomplice to a felony. I especially don't want to be an accessory to murder, home invasion, or any kind of thing involving thievery.

I can understand that, but do you have proof?
What if the police laugh at you and do not believe you anyway?
I have been there, done that and I was not believed!
I just wish he never told me!
But I never knew anyone who murdered anyone outside of war or who was not a cop.
The other thing, against kids, sorry but nobody will believe it unless the kid says
something and even then, at times, the kid will not be considered credible!
There are plenty of people who will protect the culprit and deny the truth!
When something is too bad to accept, denial sets in.

Oh it's really difficlt for us to make a choice. After all, he is the one I really love. But if I didn;t turn him in, we also couldn't have a peaceful life. After a consideration, I think I have to turn him in. Of course, I will try my best to persuade him.:)
