Whats up with the need for all the tags here? lol I sent a personal message a minute ago and they wanted me to tag it. Why?

I never tag a private message. I don't think it is necessary. Besides, I delete mine after the conversation is over. I know I would never go back to search for any of them.

Thanks all. I did not know if it was for the best money earning wise or not. :)

When you are asked for tags, you can read the message below it why they wanted you to tag it. For me, tagging is useful because if you want to search for discussions of your interest, it would be easy because mylot classifies them into categories.

Yeah that is really true. I really don't think its necessary to tag your personal messages anymore. I usually skip that option as I do not want my personal messages being exposed when you search for a topic. There was one post in here that says that her personal message showed when he searched for the tag he created.

Yeh, I saw that just the other day that tags were requested for personal messages. I can understand why mylot wants us to tag our discussions and responses--that is so it will rate higher in the search engines and bring more people to the site. I don't tag most of my discussions or responses. I don't want my username out there on my discussions because I use it on my blogs. I should have gone ahead and deleted my account here and chosen a different name. But so far I am keeping it the same. But our personal messages should not need tags since they are supposed to be personal. It makes me think that with tags, those messages must not be so private and could end up out on the internet.
