I really think I have to start thinking about such a situation at the rate my country is going and I just do not think my politicians and president in office (or even future candidates i fear) have my best interest in mind. I could never imagine my kids suffering such awful circumstances of war and want to just cry when I see the casualties--the young children and parents, innocent people, have to die. I just think the US is out of line and now starting think what to do if the US had to go to war again--whether it be a war we provoked or not. Are you really prepared for such a situation. Do you have the means to go somewhere else? Me, I would have to go to Turkey because thats where my boyfriends family is from and have a house there but even that I fear because maybe the US will make Turkey they're 'allies' again. Luckily, I am accustomed to the culture now and familiar with the language but its not what I want but what would you do, just stay? More chillingly, I had a dream that I was on some base and people everywhere started running away from this huge white rocket looking object that just appeared on the edge of the base with blue letters i couldnt make out. I had it about two months ago and it was weird because I didnt know why I was in this place anyways and all I was thinking is that I needed to get a bike right away.

I wish that the world was peaceful and that no more wars ever happen. War is bad, people get injured and people get killed. There is no point to any war. It just makes people suffer and it wastes much money. I like it when international aid is given to needy people like those that have had a natural disaster or are facing starvation. I was shocked when I heard how much the USA spent on the war in Iraq. Why can't people just be nice to each other? I long for world peace, that would become the best day in history if that ever happened. I admire Switzerland for being neutral. I read a book by Judith Kerr. She wrote children's books about a cat called Mog. She lived in Germany before World War II. Her family saw how persecution was creeping in. Her uncle worked at Berlin Zoo. He killed himself when his life became really miserable. The rest of her family fled to France, then luckily England where they were safe. Six thousand other Jewish people were killed in the Holocaust. Lessons should be learned from a sad history that was just last century. I hope that war doesn't affect my country and if it did I would flee. I wouldn't know where would be safe though.

I agree with you so much and often I think about what it was like to grow up as a kid and have no worries where everything was just right in the world (even though there was the Desert war going on), but just that mentality is something I go back to because now that Im adult its like theres so much to take in from murders, to theives, to war to greed--enough to make you want to crawl under a rock but yea, Switzerland--that whole region, I love how they are so innovative and openminded and I always hear just great things about that area. I do think I've heard of "Mog", does it have mice too--I once flipped through it before and it looked really interesting but Im sensitive to emotions and I think reading that would have me upset for a week. I really enjoyed watching Schindlers List and can watch it over and over but every time I can be crying my eyes out and its just so wrong and I want to scream, will we every learn from this??

I like world peace not war. Frankly speaking, USA really have fought with a lot of countries. in that way, a lot of citizens both from USA and other countries will be hurt, lost home. and a lot of beautiful cities will be destroyed. I really do not to see that. USA fight with other countries, which usually annoyed the people in those countries. Then some of people will do some extreme things which will really hurt USA innocent citizens. it is very terrible. I can not give you my ideas. USA is your homeland and you will miss her even if you go to Turkey. And maybe if you can live in Turkey, you will not be used to life there.

Your right there it is the home that I love and I pray that it never comes to that and I do to think that there our countries that will retaliate without one thought for the loss of life and instead of all their destructive toys they can use and I just hope we are past all that where we or our enemies will go as far as using weapons of mass destruction (god, i so did not mean to sound like Bush, i do not mean in a terroristic way).

At this point in time I don't think that could happen, but then you never know. I don't think I could leave my country even if there is a war going on. I would wonder were would we go. My husband and I may just go to Mexico though if we needed to get out of harms way, because Mexico is so close to us.
