We I was young I used to that but now not anymore! I will tell you my own experience about lightning! This is 2 years ago! Me and my niece are trying to fix something on the window of my room because of the water getting in, and all of sudden we felt this electric shocks in our a body I taught we been strike by lightning and we both sat for minute and we're so scared our heartbeat go so fast. And after a while I realise that window is actually in front of a big mirror. Now I am to scared of lightning and hope not to have that experience anymore. Thanks

some people too, especially here in the philippines believe that when you follow were the biggest lightning strikes, the tooth of the lightning is there, when you have it you can control the lightning and rain.

That's a new one on me. I haven't heard that before. I don't think it is true. We have had plenty of thunderstorms in the last 7 years. Thats about how long we have lived in our home. No broken mirrors yet.

That's the first time I heard this, lol. I can imagine a mirror may break if it is directly hit by lightening. Lightening can travel through windows just like sunlight and hit something behind it in the room but usually not far in. That's also why you should not stand at the window during a thunderstorm. But it is highly unlikely to happen. If you watch lightening, it's rather vertical. So unless the mirror is directly behind the window, nothing will happen. Superstitions!;)

yeah, my grandmother said, that they had experienced it before, when the lightning reflects in the mirror, it breaks, then the broken glass of the mirror becomes a curse or something. i don't know.
