"Trash talking" doesn't win Gold Medals!!

Did you see the amazing race in the men's 4 x 100 meter free relay? What a fantastic finish by the American, Jason Lezak, to pull it out and help win Gold for his team!! 50 meters left to swim, he was way behind the Frenchman and he dug in and won!! The same Frenchman that said no way the Americans can beat us!! Apparently, after talking the talk, he couldn't walk the walk, or swim the swim, as in this case.
The Americans brought it to the pool and left with the Gold Medal around their necks! Way to go guys. Fantastic!!
Did you see it? Were you yelling for Jason as he overtook Bernard?

They had to have heard me screaming in my bedroom last night fpd1955!!
. That was by far, the most exciting 4 x 100 meter race I have ever seen. The French started boasting and assumed that they were going to beat us, but you know what they say when you assume. I am just so proud of them all. Jason Lezak kept Michael Phelp's dream alive of getting another Gold Medal. And what about the second one to jump in who goes by the name of Cullin....the first African American to do it............WE ARE ALL SO PROUD OF ALL OF THEM!!!

Jason was spectacular. His teammates were so excited as he was swimming, jumping up and down and one, banging on the side of the pool. They all swam to achieve the Gold...a true team effort!
The entire USA swim team is spectacular. Go USA!!!

I caught myself yelling at the TV "GO GO GO"! LOL Even my husband was on his feet. It has to be one of the most exciting moments I had seen in a long time. THe look on the French teams face was priceless, maybe next time they'll just keep their mouths shut and focus on their event. They should know by now that our American team doesn't fall for the "psych" tactic.

The look on the losers face.....PRICELESS!!
With each race Phelps is in, it is just going to get more exciting!
Ian Thorpe was in the stands last night as Phelps won his third Gold medal. Thorpe also said Michael would not achieve his his goal of winning 9 Golds. Hmmm...wonder what he thinks now that Michael looks unbeatable!!!
I say, bring it on!!!

I didn't see the final race, but I did watch the some of it. I am really proud of the team too. One of the team members (Jones) is from my hometown. there is going to be a celebration when he comes home. Way to go USA swim team!!!!!

I was so happy when I watched the replay of this on sportscenter this morning! I am so glad for the Americans, because for once, they weren't the ones trash talking, and it paid out for them. I am extremely happy for Michael Phelps, because he is now set to get the most gold medals ever, and I believe he can do it. I was yelling at the TV during the replay, which I thought was weird, but I was okay with it because the AMERICANS WON!!
