Why do you blog?

It seems like most people these days have a blog...or two or three or four! I'd like to know why you blog, because it seems like everyone has a different reason.
I have two blogs -- one personal that I only share with friends and one that's linked to my gardening and my etsy shop. My personal one chronicles my health struggles and my everyday activities and amusements. I maintain it because it helps me sort out my thoughts and gives me a great timeline of the past. My gardening/business-related one gives me an outlet for plant stuff for a pretty narrow audience. It allows me to promote my ideas, products, and shop.
So, tell me, why do you blog? How many blogs do you have?

I blog because I love writing and writing is a form of relaxation for me. I have 8 blogs with different categories and I attend to them regularly. I find it relaxing to blog as I can express my thoughts without anyone interrupting me. It is also some sense of accomplishment when you come to know that people are reading your posts. I enjoy sharing my thoughts and interacting with people all over the world. It is an enriching experience.

Wow! That's a ton of blogs to maintain. I just ended up starting another -- bringing me up to three -- and I'm feeling the pressure! I do know what you mean, though, about getting those comments from people who aren't your family and friends. Very satisfying and it gives me a warm fuzzy every time.

i only have one blog. well i guess you can blog about lots of things. usually i write about the things that happens to me, whether good or bad, and sometimes i blog about general stuff too..one of the reasons why i have a blog is to be able to express my feelings in my own way preferably without any restrictions as it's my own site anyway haha

Having your own site to blog on probably eliminates a lot of the problmems I've seen people having with content! Mine are too boring to cause problems, so I don't have anything to worry about.

It's come in handy several times at doctors appointments (my chronic illness wasn't an acute onset thing), so you might consider doing it, if nothing else but that.

Well, the internet is really dynamic. :P
I have two blogs, both wordpress blogs.
I blog because I would wanna share my opinions about certain things and share a part of my life with certain people I've met online. :)

I have 7 blogs, that is a lot to keep up with! I post to each of them at least once a week, some of them 4-5 times a week.
I started out hoping to make some extra $$$ I'm no millionaire or anywhere close yet, but it is bringing in enough extra to say it has all been worthwhile!

I have just one blog over at www.erikdell.com. I started it with wordpress.org and am slowly building up the site. www.erikdell.com is a tool for me to promote my writing. During my blogs I link to my various writings found on other internet sites. In the future I plan on having poetry and screenplays as well but for now it is just my blog. Again www.erikdell.com
