Riot in Montreal last night

Last night, a riot consisting mainly of teens and young adults happened in Montreal to protest against the killing by the police Saturday of a young men who was trying to stop the police from arresting his brother. The police said they felt threatened by the man, and wounded him mortally. What amazes me, was that the police did nothing, even though during the riot a police women was shot in the leg!!!! That would have never happened like that in the United States, and sometimes because of the lame way our police force reacts, I wish I would have US police instead of the cowards we have here. What do you think, is our police force too "softy" in Canada compared to the US one?
