anyone heard about ziddu?

i was just surfing on the internet today and i came across with this site www.ziddu.com its says that upload anything you want,share it and earn money when somebody download it, its really different concept for me i ve just heard it and seems like a good site for the ones who have their own websites, but i wanna ask that have anyone heard about that site before, if you have heard does thay really pay? and if they are not paying do you know any more sites like that which is based on upload and earn money when others download it concept i am waiting your opinions and experiences:)

It is a good site. For each unique ip download you get $0.001. Payout is $5. You can upload unlimited files. there is no restriction. I have some downloads in my profile. You can have a look.

Yeah I am a member there but only earned $.001 till now.There is no way to tell if someone download your stuff so don't think it's a good idea.But I can't even blame since I don't even know if someone did download or not.All I think is that we need a good number of people to help us out reach payout.Still I need some details but that we need to send link through e-mails or just post it anywhere and if people use it we get those earnings.I haven't been there for weeks so let me check if they added some info about it.

I have reservations as to the validity of Ziddu.
I registered last week while on holiday in Spain, and after uploading a few files I downloaded one to check the result. The site showed that no files had been downloaded. After returning to England I downloaded the same file, so the IP address used for registration would not be relevant, but my download level is still zero.

I have several computer-related blogs where I promote different freeware utilities. On top of referring to the development Web site, I started to give the readers a direct downloading link from files loaded to Ziddu. Little by little, it is piling up, so far more than 1,000 downloads in about a month. Not much, but it gives reader an additional reason to come to your blog, which is great byitself.
Unfortunately, I do not know any other similar services like Ziddu.

There's also depositfiles, which seems to have a better rate (payout is still $10, but I think 1000 downloads instead of 10000 downloads hits it) -- the only catch is only download from US and Russia count for depositfiles. XD If you have people who're mainly from there, though, it might be worth it!
I've only accumulated 5c in DF and 8c in Ziddu, so..XD Ziddu's advantage is even files
