Are you happy?

Simple question but many would think twice before answering this straightforward query. Do you always do things that you like to feel happy? Or do you try to like whatever you can do and have the opportunity to work on? Which one is a better version of happiness?
To simply put it, is being happy a definition for doing things that we like to do but what if we cannot afford to do such things. What if we instead try to condition ourselves to actually start liking those things that we are capable and/or required to do.
Think of it from a different perspective, would you be happier if you would have much to live on or would you rather have much to live for?
Please leave your feedback. I would like to read your thoughts on this.

I'm definitely happy, and though I haven't (at this point) thought much about those questions you asked, I can tell by how I'm feeling at this moment, that yes, I'm very happy! I think as long as there are certain things that make us happy, it doesn't matter what else you are doing, like if I can't afford to do something, I don't think I would be unhappy unless I couldn't go with my friends. If I did have the money to go and went with people I could care less about, it wouldn't make me feel much happier than just sitting at home eating popcorn and watching a good movie. I'd much rather have much to live for.

Glad to hear that. A happy person is always fun to hang around with. Happiness doesn't come by that easy. It is something that cannot be possessed or bought off from your nearby corner stone, you must actually work for it in order to "have" it. Because a happy person is not just making him or her self feel content and blissful but is also influencing other in his/her vicinity. Spread the joy my friend! and have a very happy day.

Thank you! Actually, I just remembered this one quote I heard that kind of reminded me of what you just said. Someone was asked the definition of "happiness", and he said that his definition of happiness was seeing the people he cared about most happy.

People have different reasons for what they feel content about. I am glad you have find yours ;P. And it is also nice to hear and meet those people who would be much happier individuals if they had much to live for. Happiness is very contagious, keep it that way. Be content, enjoy your life and make your husband feel the same. Have a very Happy day ! :D
