how lovely to see young kids singing in rhyme! how i wish i can turn back time to the days i was little and singing nursery songs in school! and so, if there is one children's song i love to sing (regardless of my age)then i guess "twinkle, twinkle little star" is my most favorite. this song is already a part of our childhood history, don't you think? with matching gestures of course! . now that i am a total grown up and a mature married woman, i sometimes sing this but only when i am alone in the bathroom. hahaha.

You are right , twinkle twinkle little star is a kids' rhyme which simply cannot leave anybody untouched . But here I shall like to mention a kids' song in my mother tongue where a little girl asks a rose tree why she was not blooming , the rose tree blames the cow for it , because she ate the buds . The little girl goes to the cow and asks her why she ate the buds . The cow in reply tells that she ate , because , she was not guarded by the cow keeper . The girl asks the cow keeper and asks the reason why he did not keep the cow properly . He replied that the cook did not give him meal and so he didn't do his duty properly. The girl goes to the cook and asks her why she did not give meal to the cow keeper . She tells that the fire wood was not supplied by the wood cutter and so she could not cook meal . The girl goe s to the wood cutter and ask . He replies that the wood was ready but wet ( moist) , how he can that to the cook ? Now the girl goes to the wood and ask why they were not dry . They tells that they would have dried ,hadn't the cloud rained. Then the girl approach the clouds and ask why they were raining ? They blame the frog for the reason . They rained because , the frogs were croaking . When the girl goes to the frog and ask why she was croaking , she tells that that is their tradition , they cannot give it up . The rhyme ends there . I love this rhyme the most .

Hi wendhieRN and mylot,I am glad to know that my reply got marked the best response. I dedicate this appreciation to the content of the rhyme itself . Because, it's not only touchy but also reveals something special that is the linkage between different elements of the society . Everybody is innocent in the rhyme even if each of them has some reason not to perform which is explored by the innocent girl who loves flowers .

My kids are big now they are 10 and 13 years old, and they love to hear Hannah Montana songs and the most one song they love to hear is (The other side of me), they dance on it when they hear it. Have a nice day and happy earning.

I think it would be the 'Dingle Dangle Scarecrow' &, as you say, with all the actions. It cheers me up to do the little dance - and usually gives everyone else a bit of a smile (albeit a bewildered one!)

My favorite childrens song would have to be you are my sunshine. My great grandma used to sing it to me. I know every word and verse.
