I never wear swimming goggles when I go swiming. If I wear them it is a little unconvenient. When there is water enter the goggles, it is quite troublesome. And some time the glass is hazy, I have to unwear and clean it. I believe actually I can swim and dive without it and I will be more freely.

Me, I always wear swimming goggles anywhere I swim. I really don't like the feeling after swimming for so long without goggles. It's kinda painful to my eyes and it also make my eyes really red. The first time I used a goggle, I felt the same way as you are but you'll get used to it. Remember its a way of protection... You don't know what may happen...

I never wore that, either. But I used to wear short-sighted glasses.
when I was a boy living in a remote village, I used to swim in a river naked from top to toe, haha.

Hi I do not wear goggles in the swimming pool as they always fill with water and are annoying and uncomfortable then,I do not like the feel of them around my head either, but when I swim I only swin in the shallow water ,so it is not really essential that I wear goggles,if you were to dive or use the flumes then yes they may be helpful.
