Bi-Polar disorder

Up until 1999 when i was diagnosed with bi-polar i had never heard of it,and i wonder how many people out here still have no idea what it is and how it effects people.

bi polar - bi polar
Actually my eldest son is bi polar. We did not realize this until he was taken off his epilepsy meds. He is also has a seizure disorder. I saw signs when he was on the meds but as soon as he was wean off the meds the bi polar came out like gang busters. So now he is back on the meds and the help him greatly

Yea i was 30 years old befor i was diagnosed...and it seems in alot of cases with kids...they get diagnosed with ADD and ADHD when they are really bi-polar.I can imagine it has to be hard...finally getting to come off the meds for the seizures just to find out you have to go back on for this.Who would have thought that seizure meds are the best to help treat BP with? Hope he keeps doing well.
