I mean real big name concert.
I'm going to see Maroon 5 with Counting Crows tomorrow, and I got thinking about the last concert I went to. It was Nsync, about 7 years ago. Pretty sad. I've only been to a few concerts in my life. I once saw 98 Degrees open for Jon Secada. I've also seen a Kriss Kross concert. When I was a little kid I saw the remaining Monkees in concert.
Other than that it's been some local showcases with some smaller names. I went to a country show case with Blake Shelton, Buddy Jewel, and a few others. I also went to a hip hop showcase with Rob Base and Shaggy. Those were at the fair grounds, it wasn't a real big venue.
I'm really excited about the concert tomorrow!

You should try and go to one. Obviously with the price of tickets and todays economy don't go just to go. But if a group that you really like comes, splurge a little. I must warn you however, you might get addicted.

They are very expensive... the tickets I have are valued at $60!
We are leaving tonight around 4pm, the concert is at 7. (It's a 3 hour drive!) I will post about it tomorrow forsure, but I'll be too tired when I get home tonight.

The next big concert I will be going to is this weekend. On the 17th. We are having a tour going on called Crue Fest featuring Motley Crue. Such headlines as Montley Crue, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Trapt and Sixx:Am will be there. I am really looking forward to this concert. I still wish my fiance would be able to come with me but I am taking my brother and my fiances cousin with me. We should have a blast.

The last concert I went to was to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra. If you have never heard or seen of them, I suggest you check them out because they are phenomenal. My husband and I went to see them this past November. I do believe that was the last concert I saw.
When I was younger I used to go to at least 3-4 concerts a year. i saw all the boy bands and all those one-hit-wonders we now hear on the radio as "flash backs". Ah, the memories.

Some of my favorite Christmas songs are done by Trans Siberian Orchestra. That must have been a nice show.

That should be a great show, katsmeow. Have a great time. I'm a Counting Crows fan.
It has been a big year for live music for me. The last big name concert I saw was Daughtry opening for Bon Jovi. Before that (actually, the night before) I saw Bruce Springsteen. I have also seen Jimmy Buffett and BB King, all since January. And sometime this month I will see Tom Petty.
I don't usually see this much live music in one year. It just all kinda happened this way.
I do love live music though, and we attend a lot of festivals in our area and get to see some pretty good acts both old and new on a regular basis. Festivals this year I've seen Gavin Degraw, Switchfoot, I Nine, Everclear, Loverboy, Pat Benatar, Blue Oyster Cult, American and a few more that just aren't coming to me right now.
Have fun tomorrow. Start a discussion about it.

I'm more of a Maroon 5 fan than Counting Crows... but as I told my husband, it doesn't matter what's playing, we're going to be rocking out!
Some of those concerts sound like they would be so awesome to see! Daughtry and Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, wow!!
Daughtry is coming to our State Fair a week from today, but I don't have the money to go to that concert.

I haven't always bought the tickets to my concerts. The one I'm going to tomorrow, I won the tickets on the radio. It's only costing me gas money to go. Can't complain there!

OMG that was July 2007! It was a good one. Def leppard with Journey. Journey camde on first and their concert alone would have been worth the price of the ticket. Then Def Leppard came on and that made it a great concert. Ikt was like going to two good concerts for the price of one.
This April I lost my job and have not been able to afford to go to any. But next year, I'm going a bunch of them!

Concert tickets are fairly expensive for any big name artist or group, so I'm very pick about who I'm willing to fork over my hard-earned cash to see. Needless to say, it's been a while since I've been to a concert. The last concert I went to was the fall 2003 when I saw R.E.M. It was an excellent show, and I'd love to see them again. But it looks like there aren't too many U.S. dates on their current tour, so I probably won't see them unless they extend it.

Have fun at the concert!
The last concert I went to was in April. It was the Bamboozle Road Show. It had the bands: Lydia, Metro Station, Set Your Goals, Armor For Sleep and Saves The Day. I really liked Metro Station, Set Your Goals and Armor For Sleep. Overall a good fun show. I used to go to a lot more concerts when I had more money, but I'm not working now, so I barely ever get to go to any (my sister won the Bamboozle Road Show tickets from a radio station or else we wouldn't have went).
I usually go to club sized venues that hold probably between 750 and 1500 people. I've seen the band Kill Hannah (my faves) four times (twice I went out of state for them) and I've seen a bunch of bands 2-3 times. Usually if I see a band live and they're really good, I try to catch them everytime they come within a 50 mile radius of me. lol.

I haven't heard of any of the groups you mentioned except Metro Station, I love their song Shake It... lol.
I really can't afford to go to concerts much either. I won the Maroon 5 tickets off the radio, otherwise I wouldn't even dream about it. It's a 3 hour drive, but hey, the tickets were free!

The last concert I went to was an Iron Maiden concert. It was on june 11th at the Allstate Areana near Chicago. We got there early and got FRONT ROW! And that's where i stayed the entire 3 hours of the show! at the end of the show the drummer handed me one of his du=rum heads (it was sighed by everybody) and Steve Harris gave me his wrist band and lastly Dave Murry gave me his guitar pick! It was so cool! I had already gotten a guitar pick so i gave it to one of the six guys holding back 40 thousand people from crushing me during the 3 hour show.

My last concert that was a well known band was in April. I went to see Alter Bridge. I was lucky, they were playing in the same city as me. And they were playing at a small town venue, so it was really cheap. Normally to see them I would think at least $50 or probably even more. But for one ticket it was only $20. They played after a local band called Negative Space played. Other than this concert I've only been to one other one. This one was about 7 years and still cost more back then. I went to see Green Day and Blink 182. That was an awesome concert!!
