there are a-lot of anime series, i would say you should watch d.n.angel. theres also bleach, the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya, vampire knight, chibi vampire, and fullmoon. try these. they will certainly help you pass the time.

An anime that is very good is Full Moon wo Sagashite. It is about a girl who made a promise to a childhood friend to become a singer. When she learns that she has about one year left to live, she tries to accomplish her dream while getting help, and to find her friend again. This anime also has some sad parts.

another good one is hunter x hunter, its a bout this 12 year old boy who takes the hunter exams in order to meet his father who left him when he was a baby. There are many obstacles along the way but with determination, he meets 3 good friends. They go in search of Gon's father together and help each other along the way. Hope you watch it. =]
