Have you or any one you know been a vctim of gang violence?

I have been a victim of gang violence. The incident happened nearly 18 months ago now and I have only just begun to be able to write about it. I have found some solace in people and things on the internet. I have a wonderful family and friends and a good counsellor who I trust. I also have a positive attitude and outlook on life that people have commented on how optimistic I am. Having said that, sometimes I do feel down and it is those times that I seek other people more. I find it really hard to take when someone then tells me that it is time I stopped talking about it and move on. I am moving on and as I say, most of the time I don't even think of it these days but I would say to any one who knows a victim, please let them get over it in thier own time and way. Help them if they ask for it but let them live their own life in their own way.
