LABYRINTH. No matter how many movies come along that are better, more awesome, or impressive, the movie "Labyrinth" will probably always be my favorite. I grew up with a special demographic of people who see Jim Henson as a GOD and as a result his movies are that much more special. Plus, Labyrinth is great. Awesome visual effects and awesome puppets. Kids should be so lucky now.

Labyrinth is a very good movie...wish Jennifer Connely had kept her figure. I love hundreds of old movies and many from recent times but my all time, can watch it any time, favorite is still "Singin' in the Rain." It still can cast a spell over people. My wife had never seen it and fell in love with it the first time she watched with me. Recently heard her tell her brother it was HER favorite. Her sons, my stepsons, generally hate old movies...especially musicals but both love it. My youngest, who is going to be 20 next month, borrowed my well-worn VHS tape to play for his girlfriend who is 18 and hates musicals outside of animated ones she grew up on (Lion King, etc)...she refused to watch it unless he put dinner on the line (he's a chef) and then couldn't believe how good it was. Now's the kicker... She borrowed it and asked her mother and stepdad if they had ever seen it. They hadn't seen it in years. She's close to her mother but not her stepdad...till now. He remembered watching it with his family as a boy and was crying when it ended. They all talked about it and she bought it for him for Father's Day. That my dear is a movie!

Not sure what you mean by "kept her figure". She was only 14 in Labyrinth! She got curvy later, and then lost some of those curves. Anyway, I agree, "Singin' in the Rain" has got to be one of the finest movies ever made. I have shown it to people who don't normally go for musicals and they end up loving it. The story, the one-liners, the whole idea of the movie is a winner. Plus, who doesn't love Lina Lamont?

Well, if your a man who fixates on such things you can see her "personality" already showing then. When she later turned up in movies like "Career Opportunities" and "The Rocketeer," we personality watchers really noticed. Unfortunately she chose to go the way of so many other actresses and "shaped" up right out of her great shape. My wife and my oldest stepson still mimic the scene where the movie goes out of sync with the, "Yes, yes, yes!" and the, "No, no, no!" when he comes down for a visit.

Girl Interrupted is a very good movie. It shows the times and how people had problems with what was happening around them just as people do today. I thought Angelina Jolie did an amazing job in this movie. She played the part so well. Also her and Winona Ryder had very good chemisty! Could watch it over and over again.

Wow, sounds like I need to watch Labyrinth. I've obviously missed something. I have a few friends who are big Jim Henson fans. I'm going to be talking to them about why they have never insisted that I see this movie. My all time favorite movie is The Sound of Music. I never grow tired of it.

I have to admit I am pleasantly surprised how many people jumped on board to praise Labyrinth, if not as their favorite, as one that is well-loved. The Sound of Music is one I can watch and always love, too. :)

My two favorite all time movies are "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "Steel Magnolias." I haven't seen "Labyrinth" but I think I will. I keep hearing good things about it.

Those are both wonderful movies. I love "Fried Green Tomatoes" even more now that I sometimes see Fannie Flagg (the author of the book) on "Match Game" reruns. I want to think she based some of the story on herself.

I would have to say that this is my all time favorite movie so far. I love every single second of that movie. There was not one part where it lost my attention. I wish there were love stories actually told like that today. I read the book before I went to see the movie and usually the movie does not stand up to my expectations, but this one so did. So glad someone agrees.

Labyrinth was a great movie. I also liked the Dark Crystal, but my all time movie from growing up would have to be The Neverending Story. I loved the fantasy in that movie, it was awesome, plus I liked the big pink flying dog...HAHA!

If you love the movie version of The Neverending Story, you will love the novel. The movie is a very good adaptation of the first half of the book.

I love 'Labyrinth'. It's one of my favorites. Whoever cast David Bowie as the Goblin King, deserves a big round of applaus. I can't picture anyone else fitting that role as well as he did. I can't pick just one favorite. I also love 'Dogma', 'Billy Madison', and 'The Breakfast Club'. Those are probably my favorites.

Ever see the behind the scenes thing where Jim Henson said before they thought of Bowie, they considered Sting and Michael Jackson? Eek!

My all time favorite movie...easy. Gone With The Wind. I first watched it with my grandmother when I was 7 and fell in love with it. I have since purchased it first on vhs and then on dvd. I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen, but each time is like the first time. Probably always will be.

I enjoyed that movie myself. But my favorite movie is Mask, with Sam Elliot, yum and Cher. I have watched it over and over. The story really grabs my heart. Okay, I like the other movie with Jim Carey too. How could you not? He is a mess. I also liked The Dark Crystal, having mentioned puppets.

I grew up watching and loving Labyrinth too, but now my favorite movie has got to be Harold and Kumar. I'm a very promiscuous movie lover. It will change again and again depending on the movies I watch and my mood at the time.
